I suppose my point about Pidgin's use of the keybinding is a little
different from the title of this report. My point is that Pidgin's
keybinding is inconsistent with *itself*, since window focus determines
whether Ctrl+L in Pidgin will clear or bring up the logs.

When a disk full of pictures (for example) is inserted and viewed in
Nautilus, it generates previews one-by-one. These previews are slightly
larger than the placeholder icon, so as the previews are generated,
higher rows will expand and push off
In Pidgin, the Ctrl+L shortcut is even worse, because the same
keybinding can also bring up the log window if the buddy list is active.
So the same keybinding either views the logs or nukes them, depending on
window focus within a single application. Not good.

CRT monitors, just on LCDs. Doesn't xrandr provide info on each
