No way to return from fullscreen (top menu doesn't appear)

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: vinagre
In Jaunty, when using vinagre fullscreen, you can move your mouse
pointer to the top of the screen and then the top menu appears. You can
return to windowed mode, change zoom, send ctrl-alt-del, things like
that.
In Karmic, this menu seems to be
I'd like to revert this to a bug. Make it a wishlist one, if
appropriate.
The thing is this: I, as a knowledgeable user (blablabla), have expected
things in any OS to 'just work', be 'intuitive', or otherwise being a
(usability) bug. I've known some OSes in which there were a lot of
usability bugs

I agree with Aidan. It's not only when adding applets. However, I just now only
managed to break things when switching to lower resolution, log off, log in,

Just my 2 cents:
Some people here have discussed the options: relative positioning,
keeping track of positions with different resolutions, flexible spaces,
etc.
However, as some others have pointed out already, gnome already _has_ a
great scheme, which is actually working very well: the panel_rig

Huh? Since when...? Anyway, thanks!!! Sure enough, now it's only a minor
UI thingy for me as well, ;-)

Ah, sure. But then how _do_ I configure my plugins? For example, I want
to toggle the 'use network tests' for spamassassin. Far
Do you mean the 'the configure button is missing a mnemonic' thing?
Because it's not the 'if you can't configure it, the button should be
greyed out' thing. The only plugin I can configure is the one at the
top: attachment reminder. No other plugin can be configured. That's a
bit weird.

In evolution 2.12.0-0ubuntu3 on gutsy, I can't configure any plugin I

Please, if you want to shout, do it in a forum. A bug report is meant to

discussing a fix. It bites me too, but please relax and let the

However, as mentioned at #34112, those binary packages have not yet

Debian #195600 is totally unrelated and is not about printing itself,
but about retaining printing options through save/reload.
However, Ubuntu #24785 is the same bug, with its own set of duplicates.
