I was tired when I first posted this bug. It turns out, this is a problem with using cat to record from a PVR device (cat /dev/video0 > /home/$USER/video.mpeg). Because the resulting file is without pertinent header info, Nautilus freaks out when trying to get its properties. -- Right-clicking
