Public bug reported: I have a Compaq Presario V5000 laptop. I blank screen when I attempt to suspend or hibernate. It looks like it successfully sleeps on suspend, but my laptop doesn't wake up, and I have to do a hard reboot. When I reboot after an unsuccessful suspend, I must Enable Networking as well.
When I attempt to hibernate I also get a blank screen and my PC doesn't hibernate. I must hard reboot to restore the system. I love Ubuntu very much and wish these two features worked as they are supposed to work. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- suspend and hibernate both fail under Lynx using Presario V5000 laptop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/573878 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
