I built a version of libmutter with the patch in the linked GNOME bug applied, but then I get a different crash when turning off the monitor. That one is 1724439, in meta_window_get_monitor(). Switching my session from Wayland to Xorg fixes the problem. It might fix the original crash too, I didn't
