I don't see how anyone used to iTunes could be expected to accept as
poor a music manager as Rhythmbox as the default music library
application in Ubuntu. It is essentially unchanged in the last five
years and severely lacking in features. Album artist support is an
excellent example.

I have to disagree with the low/wishlist importance. This bug seriously
impacts usability and polish. It is the kind of thing that a
commercial operating system would not let slip through and reinforces
the impression that Linux-based OSs are left unfinished.

Luke makes a good point. I would go even further and suggest that
unmount should not be available anywhere in Nautilus, but that
advanced users should go to Palimpsest or the terminal to unmount.

I have continued to experience problems printing to HP Laserjet P3005dn.
However, the problems seem to disappear when I use a different PPD
called CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.4 which is one of the 3 options listed in
the list of PPDs in the add printer tool. The two others, the default
and one labeled

This happens for me when behind a firewall, with a .pac autoconf file

Running Edgy, when using a GSM mobile phone as a GPRS modem no ppp
username or password is required (the ppp connection is to your phone
and not to the network). Specifying a bogus username and password
sometimes works but not
I start it from a shortcut on my gnome panel, usually. Certainly the
majority of instances of this problem has been when evolution was
started like this, although I'm almost sure it's happened when it was
started from the menu. I never run it from the terminal.

A temporary fix is to purge the package (it also removes gdm and
ubuntu-desktop), then installing it from flight 6 ubuntu install cd-rom.
Remember to reinstall gdm and ubuntu-desktop and to avoid upgrading to v12 of
