I am apparently mistaken that deskbar-applet doesn't allow arbitrary keystrokes, however it doesn't won't allow the same keystrokes as Keyboard Shortcuts. For example, Keyboard Shortcuts lets me set the "Search" shortcut to the "Search" key on my keyboard [Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000], but deskba
