I would like to add my support for running 2 x screens at once.
I have searched many hours for a solution to this but always seem to come up 
against too many technical hurdles or roadblocks.
If there is a possible fix for this which just requires a patch to 
gnome-session, could someone please implement that.
This would make the many users I have encountered during my search for a 
solution to this extremely happy.
Maybe we could finally have a distro which supports multiple X Screens, each 
with its own set of panels, workspaces,  etc.
Support for this seems to have been ignored for several years, since the days 
of gnome2.
