Since Canonical offers support for Karmic until April 2011, I don't
think they have the choice but to fix things of this importance.

Definitely not a duplicate of bug #150379, which I checked out: I have
tracker enabled. It could be a duplicate of bug #154692 as Nick says
above, but I think we may be facing two different problems here:
1- If you search a folder that tracker has not indexed, the search won't
return anything
2-
So now we have in Gutsy this search function that ridiculously lacks

This is under ubuntu Gutsy. In the wallpaper choosing file dialog from
gnome-appearance-properties, the list of mounted disks doesn't appear in
the Shortcuts section at the left. All I get is the Home, Desktop and
File System shortcut

anymore.
Instead of an option to disable tracker search in Nautilus, it would be
much better to mix search results from tracker and the old search
