I'm confused as to the status of this bug report. Here are the steps
AFAIU them:
1) When I filed this bug with details of what the problem was and how to
circumvent it, it was originally filed against Nautilus.
2) Then the bug got reassigned to gstreamer where its state went from
"new" to "confir
This is the exact reason why very few file bugs. I've given up entirely
on bug reports and Ubuntu ... bought a Mac and video runs perfectly.

I too have this error happening on my Toshiba Satellite A300 with
Jaunty. I'm not sure what you want the original poster to add since into
Synaptic and removing wodim requires the removal of Brasero as well
(package dependency). I just installed K3B and it burned successfully
without report
