still affected by this bug, killall pulseaudio doesn't help, infact the
usb headset simply won't show in my /proc/asound/cards nor in my
hardware tab of the gnome volume manager

this bug about test speakers crash should be unrelated to the headphone
missing problem, at least for me I cannot use my usb headphone but the
"test speaker" function of my standard onboard audio is fine.
I think we should follow Colan advice and post about the test speaker
crash on the bug #77533
same problem here, with my usb headset (0d8c:000c) after upgrading to
natty, when I plug them in I get:
cannot find the slot for index 0 (range 0-0), error: -16

I can still confirm this bug on karmic 9.10 with evolution 2.28.1
I simply create a new message and attach another mail to it, if i try to
open that attachment it does that by default with gedit and of course
it's not readable, the same happens of course if i receive a mail with
attached another m
