I see the same behaviour here. However as soon as I add a bookmark to the new
category it shows up in the bookmarks menu.
Maybe this behaviour is intended and empty categories are not shown? That makes
sense to me, since categories without any bookmarks are quite useless.

I tested it with gmplayer now. Mplayer gives a bit more information,
e.g. german - dolbie 5.1, german - dolbie 5.1 stereo. However it named
two different entries the same too. (Tracks that featured comments from
two different people.) So mplayer is slightly better, but not perfect.

Totem-gstreamer displays the same languages twice or three times in
sound->languages. How often I see entries for one language differs
depending on the inserted dvd.
I use edy and totem-gstreamer 2.16.1-1ubuntu1.

audio cd. I can also play and eject the cd from the drivemount applet.
