I don't know why this is so hard to explain. Ok, so by default rhythmbox
hides itself when you click the close box, as opposed to exiting. To fix
this, one can set the value of status-icon-mode to 2, then rhythmbox
exits when you click close. Fair enough.

My previous patch made too many unnecessary changes, use this instead.
It changes the behavior of status-icon-mode 2, and is just a one-line
fix.
You should be able to drop it into the debian/patches directory and
build normally, i.e:
$ sudo apt-get build-dep rhythmbox
$ apt-get sourc
When status-icon-mode is set to 2, clicking the tray icon minimizes
Rhythmbox normally, not to the tray (?). But, yes, it does make the
close button exit.
