Artifacts mentioned above do not seem to be workflow-critical. But
there is other type of artifact related to metacity and shadows. It
appears when I expand tag list in Firefox bookmarking tool and seems to

After a recent system update gnome-settings-daemon crashes with segmentation
fault upon login to gnome shell (installed from ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3,

I've updated Totem's desktop file per your suggestion and it fixed the
problem for me locally. Documenting the workaround for anyone who would

resolved is by replacing my old cd-rom device by a more recent dvd-rom
device and using a 40-pin ata-cable (in stead of a 39-pin). My

Sorry, looks like in my case system just couldn't going to hibernate
because there wasn't free swap space enough to do this. So, I've marked
this bug as invalid.

I have the same problem with lucid lynx beta 1/2.
If I stop GDM with sudo service gdm stop and then launch x via normal
startx everything work fine.
But if i try to login with GDM, after clicking on a user, gdm restart
itself.

settings-daemon from terminal works.

Basic privacy feature of blocking contacts is not available. That so
basic feature could not be missing on the default IM on a desktop
environment, and if it is the LTS it's just insane!
