Public bug reported: Hi All,
I have a problem getting libpam-gnome-keyring to work under KDE (KUBUNTU 8.10). When login in, I can see the keyring process running. But when launching Evolution, it does not seam to be using the keyring. Instead it always asks me for the POP3 password. Reason seams to be, that the keyring is started without access to the display. Anyone know how to fix this? Installation was done according to the libpam-gnome-keyring README.debian file: /etc/pam.d/kdm contains: auth required pam_nologin.so auth required pam_env.so readenv=1 auth required pam_env.so readenv=1 envfile=/etc/default/locale auth optional pam_gnome_keyring.so @include common-auth session required pam_limits.so session optional pam_gnome_keyring.so auto_start @include common-account @include common-password @include common-session /var/log/auth.log contains: Dec 11 22:53:11 laptop gnome-keyring-ask: Gtk: cannot open display: Dec 11 22:53:11 laptop gnome-keyring-daemon[5691]: missing dialog response fromask tool Dec 11 22:53:11 laptop gnome-keyring-daemon[5691]: the gnome-keyring-daemon process may not have been initialized properly, as its environment is missing the 'DISPLAY' variable. ** Affects: gnome-keyring (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Keyring not accessible under KDE using libpam-gnome-keyring https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/307358 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-keyring in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
