using Suspend-to-RAM on my system has stopped working reliably on Vivid
when booting with Systemd. When I try to suspend my PC the following
happens:
- PC turns off
- PC unwantedly wakes up (turns on) by itself again. This time span until it
turns on again can reach
I have also added a message to the PPA that affected users should use
the package updates from saucy-proposed instead.

I have added a patch that fixes the issue of the compact view default
zoom level being ignored (while it actually wrongly reacted to the icon
view default zoom level!), as described in the duplicates of this bug
report.
This patch is actually just a one line change which seems to be a typo

I usually activate standby/suspend to ram mode for my system by pressing the
power button on its case.

fresh installed Oneiric system, they are opened with Firefox by default,
which does work but is a bit of an unfortunate choice I think. Like in

it indeed doesn't crash in the sense that Apport is triggered. g-s-d
seems to get somehow into a completely unresponsive state, meaning you
can't terminate it with anything but kill -9 . It seems to consume no
CPU time, so g-s-d is obviously not running in a loop.

I can confirm this behaviour. It isn't caused by a pulseaudio crash since pa is
still running and working after GNOMEtris lost it's sound.
I don't know what goes wrong when this happens, but it seems to cause other
weird things. I am using mail-notification, a small program that runs in the
back

output of gnome-session by choosing "Terminal (failsafe)" as session type and
