[Bug 1011257] Re: x-gvfs-show option doesn't work

2012-09-08 Thread Jim Patterson
A side issue here is that the current version of Disks seems to apply this option by default. I used the utility to persistently mount some favourite partitions, without touching the mount options, and consequently they would fail to mount in either Disks or via "sudo mount /mountpoint". If I edite

[Bug 209513] Re: After upgrade, "Update standard folders to current language" threatens to rename your home folder

2012-04-17 Thread Jim Patterson
It's a persistent little bugger. I'm running Precise Pangolin beta, have been for some weeks, and after a lengthly update yesterday, this popped up when I next logged on. It wanted to rename /home/jim -> /home/jim/Downloads and /home/jim -> /home/jim/Music . .../Downloads exists and .../Music is a

Public bug reported: Upon upgrade to Oneiric, my local folders were migrated to a new 'mbox' account. Unlike local folders, the mbox account has send and receive settings. Those settings, after migration, are not however set to anything useful. My username is 'jim', so the Email was set to 'jim@lo

[Bug 861065] [NEW] Cannot find outgoing message which keeps failing

2011-09-27 Thread Jim Patterson
Public bug reported: Due to other bugs with the new mbox protocol (#861064), I have a message that was sent to my service provider's SMTP server that it won't accept. That in itself isn't the problem here, but for completeness I've attached the error block that I see upon starting Evolution. I th

[Bug 861060] [NEW] Cannot change settings on mbox account

2011-09-27 Thread Jim Patterson
Public bug reported: After updating to Oneiric, I found my local folders migrated to a new mbox account. No problem there; I'm sure there are good reasons for it. However, the mbox account has some bugs / user experience issues, and in trying to work around them, I've found that I can't change set

[Bug 622051] [NEW] Cannot change Artist Sort error, Rythmbox reports "Internal GStreamer error"

2010-08-21 Thread Jim Patterson
Public bug reported: Using Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS Rhythmbox frequently fails to change the Artist Sort Order property. I think I've seen similar errors on other properties as well. This has a high probability of occurring when changing multiple tracks at once e.g. switching a property an entire album

My suggestion as to the cause of this crash may be off base. I tried to fix the entries another way, by transferring the information from one entry to another, then deleting the first entry. As soon as I Apply a change on the other entry, it crashed. Perhaps it's a more general GMail contact

Seems my second test case is more similar to the first than I thought. It was still creating a duplicate key, just on another field (home email). I did not actually remove the field from the first record when doing that - if I do delete it before setting it in the second, things are fine. So it doe
