I've noticed this randomly starting in Oneiric and is still present in
Precise. I can receive an IM and see the name and time in the MM. When
I select it, the chat window will appear, but it will be blank.
It seems to be more common with people that I chat with infrequently

the IA could be removed. I thought it was part of the panel. I don't

After the Lucid icon update that installed the balloon shaped icons,
empathy flashing tray icon appears to be missing one of the icons for
the flash state, As show in the attached screen shots, the icon flashes
