I have audio when playing mp3s and Sound Preferences - Input - Input

Click on a .gnumeric file on the desktop, add/remove programs opens,
finds Gnumeric, opens Searching for appropriate programs and hangs.
Kill with xkill
Repeat, select Gnumeric, download starts but stalls
Restart apt-proxy

The add plugin dialog could have a default directory and filter that
would facilitate plugin selection.

A typical user would have no idea what to do nor where to look.

My system is x86 but the problem is generic.
If we are going to use totem to open everything, it should be installed
with a basic set of codecs including wav files

Dapper upgrade from Breezy which bombed half way through the install
phase followed by dpkg --configure -a which made the machine apparently
functional.
On a fresh install of abiword on Dapper and setting System, Preferences,
Preferred applications, Browser, Firefox, the abiword page opens as the
