Trying to change session with ctrl-alt f1 or suspend-resume the computer

I finally found the culprit: the bug came from a local custom-made
website (http://localhost/...) I had visited before and that contained a
favicon.ico with PNG data in it (instead of ICO data). The favison.ico
was in my cache, and anytime I typed an address containing "local",
Epiphany crashed.
OK, after tinkering a bit, I think I have found a way to reproduce it
easily: it seems that the browser crashes whenever you type something
that matches one of the URIs stored in the browser's history. So the
crash is probably related to the address bar's auto-completion /
suggestions.

It's actually the org.gnome.desktop.lockdown disable-lock-screen
gesettings key that's been set to "true". No idea how it got set to

there are actually two bugs here: the first one being that 3D
acceleration doesn't work out of the box using Ubuntu's installation of
the Nvidia driver through "additional pilots": for that to work, you
need to add “Option “PrimaryGPU” “Yes”” to
/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-nvidia.conf.
Paul, the "Stop & Quit" action is certainly a plus, but it doesn't solve
this precise bug report, as there still is a case where "Rhythmbox stays
running in the background after quit" (if you just close the window).
I'm not the one to decide whether or not this is the desired behaviour,

is playing, Rhythmbox's icon simply disappears. So, there is no way to

I have gnome-calendar installed on Ubuntu 19.04, and gedit is still
displayed as the only available choice in the default app settings. The
workaround was to run the following: gio mime text/calendar
org.gnome.Calendar.desktop
Now gnome-calendar appears as the default (and only) calendar app...

For me, this bug would have never happened if Canonical stopped fixing
upstream code. When upstream (here GNOME) chooses to modify its own code,
Canonical should respect the developers and not patch the software to make it
act like they desire. If the sofwtare isn't considered good
@seb128: OK, sorry, just replace Canonical by Ubuntu everywhere in my
post. But my opinion stands.

opened in both EOG and GIMP. The picture in EOG seems to have a lot of
noise, but not in GIMP.

Just a correction: the original picture opened in both EOG and GIMP is a
PNG, not a JPEG.

Updated gnome-control-center and gnome-control-center-data from saucy-
proposed. Logged out, back in. It works now, I was able to set short-cut
to Left Ctrl+Shift and it switches properly.

However, I left the default shortcut to Switch to previous source
(Shift+Super+Space).. I tested it and it doesn't work, no matter the
order in which I press the keys.

Brightness not adjusted when switching from AC to battery

When I set my laptop to not supend when on AC power, it still suspend
automatically after about an hour. It did work correctly in raring but
not anymore in saucy.

Yes, I use Ubuntu GNOME, not stock Ubuntu. I don't even have Unity
installed but I'll try it if needed as soon as I can.

I have gnome-settings-daemon version 3.8.5-0ubuntu7 installed and my
settings are being ignored. Laptop (plugged-in) suspends when lid is
closed even though I set it to not suspend.
