Xfce team has deprecated xfce4-icon-theme project. So I made a best
guess and reported the bug
here(https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14378). Hoping this will
be fixed at some point. In the meanwhile changing icon theme is the
workaround.

I have this issue with gnome-software on Xfce 4.12 (Xubuntu 18.04 LTS).
The problem occurs with default icon pack elementary Xfce darker; along
with elementary Xfce, elementary Xfce dark, elementary Xfce darkest icon
pack. So the problem occurs with the whole series of elementary-Xfce
icon pack.

Looking in the Gnome Software application, all applications with any
1 year ago I tried to move to Ubuntu permanently but couldn't cause of
this bug. Dissapointed to see this bug is still alive in a corporation
backed distribution.
