It's been my experience that if you disable hibernation as an option in
g-p-m then this problem goes away. This leads me to believe that the issue
is not in the kernel it self. Maybe I'm just crazy though.

As of a week ago or so the weather applet seems to detect when i go
online and it updates itself within 30 seconds or so. Even though i
have not changed the configuration on the applet and it only checks
every 30 minutes. Is this just a coincidence or did it get fixed can
someone confirm this in

I was thinking of some sort of container that all the notification
icons could sit inside of. Maybe some sort of brackets instead of
just a bar on the left of the notification area?

I have this same issue. When i come back from a suspend or hibernation gaim is
obviously not connected anymore because my wireless card has been turned off
for some time. might it be best if when your wireless card is turned off or
connection reset that gaim would auto drop your connection and
