I noticed that RabbitVCS / checkerservice.py was the reason for hanging.
After I removed the RabbitVCS installation, Nautilus doesn't hang any
more.
Could this bug be moved to rabbitvcs-nautilus?

This bug affects me too. When text is selected and i cut it using ctrl+x
the cursor starts flickering and the cpu fan ramps up (i guess due to
some hide/unhide cursor loop). Only way to solve it is to restart gedit.

This is the only single complaint I have with gnome-terminal is that I
cannot just left-click on links to make them open. Otherwise it would be
perfect.

Even when the theme has been changed to another one and the panel is

the "shutdown" item disappears quite often from my panel after I have

It is not completely a hardware problem, as the 10.04 live CD works fine

differences between live CD and the brand new installation? Is the live

I have tried still to reproduce this, but no luck. The timing, or the

I tried to reproduce over an hour, without luck. I was able to crash
gnome-panel once with a different strack trace, it crashed in
gtk_widget_hide(). Might be related to this, though. I'll file a
separate bug report about that one.
Back to this bug. The event was emitted from applet.c line 741:

I'm assuming that the signal for this is attached here in gnome-panel

It will signal "text entry" to the user and when toggled users won't
