I have seen this same problem on 9.04 on my Lenovo x300. It did not
happen originally, but occurred at some point after an update i assume.
Initially I had problems where if I unplugged, the system froze and then
it just started shutting off. I tried rebuilding a newer kernel and that
did not
suspend and hibernate also do not work on my system. If these are also
managed by the same package, they might be related.

It wasn't actually a bug, it worked as designed. A papercut is
usability nitpicks, simple things we can do to improve the user
experience. Which could include fixing an actual bug, if it wasn't
working as designed or make minor changes to how it was designed to

I don't think the crasher in comment #1 is related the this bug. This
bug is due to the patch in rhythmbox adding support for application-
indicators. That patch actually bypasses notifications, which isn't
really the goal. We need to fix that.

handles both cases nice. My experience is the opposite, xchat-gnome
supports the features most people care about and has a simpler user
interface. I haven't met anyone in years that used xchat (i guess until
now), but I am
in: xchat-gnome (Ubuntu)

membership then right click and select properties. Now select the
Permissions tab. Group membership is not selectable and therefore not
settable. You can accomplish one

The libappindicator patch to rhythmbox doesn't provide any fall back to
the original status icon. We should detect for interest from the
indicator (if it is present) and if not, fall back to displaying the
status icon.

The authorization requests appear in the messaging menu, just like an IM
does. You have to click on that to get the Approve/Reject dialog.
Currently there is a problem with those dialogs getting raised properly
though, they stay below the current window. This can make it appear as
if selecting
