Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nautilus
Under linux any file may be executable using the binfmt-misc feature of
the kernel. This should mean that when I double click on a file in
nautilus that is executable, nautilus should allow me to execute it even
if it doesn't fit into the normal
Another reason this is a bug is due to the way nautilus will handle
files that are not executable but have the correct extension.
For example, on my system I've set up an association for jar files to be
executed by the jvm. This is great if the jar file is intended to be
executed. It works just

Problem: the time applet doesn't recognize when you have installed the
required NTP packages to synchronize the time periodically.

This seems to be fixed in dapper.
I did find that if I killed the applet and then restarted it after

use the -noSplashScreen option wnck-applet doesn't spin out of control. I can
consistently reproduce this with Mathematica. I'm sure you can duplicate it
with the free trial version of Mathematica.
