This issue is simple to reproduce on a fresh 18.04 install:
- right click an iso image and select "Open with disk image mounter" (or
double click as it is the default action)
and/or:
- issue the command `gnome-disk-image-mounter image.iso`
The resulting is a dialog asking
16.04 64bit 4.8.0-54-generic #57~16.04.1-Ubuntu affected too. N551JK
(ASUS-NotebookSKU)
The workaround in #6 doesn't fix the system being very laggy while
copying files over USB. Maybe a tad better but huge lags still happen.

I just want to say I really miss this feature in ubuntu. Every time I
want to rename a file I firstly try this only to realize it is not
possible. I prefer using mouse to keyboard as much as possible and not
having this feature is really sad.

I am used ti hide my desktop icons (gsettings set
org.gnome.desktop.background show-desktop-icons false)
But since raring (13.04) it also prevents the background image to be
displayed. Only a plain color background is shown.

The new mount point since 12.10 is incompatible with Wine apps.
Basically a right clickopen with will fail because of invalid
characters. Same with FileOpen dialogs.
Example invalid mount point:
/var/run/user/username/gvfs/smb-share:server=192.168.0.1,share=public

thus can be acceded by about any apps, wine windows apps included.

over). As a cannot choose audio settings, it is just impossible to play
it. That DVD won't play if I dont first select audio settings at the
