You wrote this bug had been fixed in the package 2.24.3-0ubuntu1. In fact it hadn't. At least in my and max's case. Both I and max still have an empty folder appearing while using 2.24.3-0ubuntu1 version of evolution package. Moreover I can't see anyone who confirmed that update to 2.24.3 fixed
