I am still using the same versions of gedit (2.20.3) and Nautilus (2.20.0) so yes, it's still an issue for me. I don't know whether it's still an issue with newer versions because I haven't been able to install the latest gedit 2.22.3, although from gedit's "What's new" lists since 2.20.3 there s

Apparently I spoke too soon. This does not appear to be a specific gedit bug. The same thing just happened while I was using nautilus and simply clicked on a file's property menu. The file property window appeared but all in transparent colors and soon afterwards the whole system hung. -- gedit h
