This issue still occurs in Lucid Alpha 2, with all updates applied. As
with the previous comment, opening it in EoG does not fix the thumbnail.

Although I've identified several specific examples, the underlying
request is really just one thing: support for encryptfs mounted Private
directories in Nautilus.
There didn't seem to be much point in submitting each issue
individually, as they will all rely on some lower-level recognition of

Intrepid will include support for encrypted private directories - that
is, each user will have an encrypted directory that is mounted to
~/Private at login using ecryptfs.
More extensive details are here:
It still seems to be an issue in Hardy (Fileroller version 2.22.3). In
Intrepid (Fileroller version 2.23.5) it seems to work as desired,
although I'll add the caveat that I was unable to make an SMB connection
to my Windows box from Intrepid, so was only able to test it using SSH

In case it helps anyone to reproduce this issue, I've run into this
problem using Gutsy in a virtual machine running on VMWare Server. The
Screens and Graphics app lists the driver as vmware - VMWare virtual

With Gutsy, Fileroller can now open archives on non-local directories
(e.g. smb:// paths in Nautilus), and can extract files to local
directories using drag and drop (i.e. drag a file from Fileroller into
Nautilus to extract it).
However
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nautilus
I have upgraded a machine from Feisty to Gutsy and now have issues
opening any Nautilus windows.
When I get the first window to open, I am then able to open other
Nautilus windows with no problems. However once I close the last of the
windows,
Backtrace attached, but I had a quick look through it and noticed a
mention of nautilus-actions. I tried removing the nautilus-actions
package, and that seems to have cured the problem.
I am happy for this issue to be closed, as there was nothing in the
nautilus-actions package that I really need
