This bug is a wishlist one to add an option which when enabled would
avoid the need to right click and select "Copy" in order to get your
selection onto the CLIPBOARD clipboard as it would automatically be
copied there upon selection.

If you run "gnome-open whatever.desktop" it opens gedit showing you the
textual content of the .desktop file. I expected it to open the
appropriate application for the .desktop file, exactly as if you'd
double clicked on it in nautilus. For example "gnome-open
