I'd like to try resetting all the settings for rhythmbox (on feisty) and
retry the magnatune plugin, but I don't know how to get rid of all
rhythmbox specific settings in my system. Do I need gconf-editor for
that? Any advice?

I am using the standard gnome mixer applet, it identifies itself as the
„Lautstärkeregler 2.18.0“ (volume control 2.18.0).
My the level of my microphone was set to 0 and I was able to adjust it
with alsamixer.

This functionality is highly exposed. Anyone who wants to test a

I can confirm that behavior of the file-save-as-Dialog for applications

gnome-settings-daemon starts if I set permissions on /etc/libnss-
ldap.conf to 644. It was, and should be, 600 becuase it contains
credentials. The lookups is done through nscd. But nscd randomly quits,

I can confirm that this bug occurs whenever someone tries to mount an smb
filesystem by using
smbfs via a fstab entry (dapper). Several side effects result from that like
hanging nautilus processes,
missing samba shares, performance lags in nautilus.
