As a workaround I found that if I use "Devils Pie" (gdevilspie in my
case) I can automaticly unmaximize firefox.

I just found that if I switch firefox to unmaximize and close the window
on the left screen the launcher works again. But I think in the past I
didn't had to do that, however I'm not 100% sure if I not coincidently
always did it like that.

Edwards fix for Linux noobs (like me...)
1. Starta a Terminal window.
2. Type: cd /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/i386/l
Something in my profile was bad... gnome was not longer starting the
desktop... computer froze with black screen and round waiting mouse icon
