xbindkeys is a good workaround, too, but still this is annoying.

Me too. My laptop is Lenovo T60 with Radeon Mobility X1400 using the
open source drivers. Here's how my gmail shows up in firefox:

I'd like to try resetting all the settings for rhythmbox (on feisty) and
retry the magnatune plugin, but I don't know how to get rid of all
rhythmbox specific settings in my system. Do I need gconf-editor for
that? Any advice?

I installed gutsy tribe 5 on VirtualBox virtual machine and tried
Rhythmbox. Looks like magnatune plugin works there for me, too.

Whenever I click the "Magnatune"-source in the left pane, it starts to
read magnatune directory (or database). The progressbar moves back and
