I did some research and found this problem affects only file on a Samba
share (at least for me). Also, I tried opening such files while in
guest mode and everything worked. My guess is, this is related to some
left-over settings from previous installations... I removed settings
and temp files fo

Same thing in Karmic, I'm trying to delete a test user I created, it
seems to work, but if I restart, the test user still appears in the
login screen.
Logging in with it doesn't really work, though, I get several errors
before ending up on a blank screen...
