It can't be consistently and reliably triggered. There are times when I
don't see this bug show up at all. I've never seen it show up with a
short PDF, however by keeping evince open for extended periods
(sometimes days) while viewing a long document and switching between
windows, the bug tends to

Evince will randomly zoom in and out when the PDF is scrolled using the
mouse's scroll wheel. This seems to happen most often when another
window has focus, but not always. Sometimes giving Evince focus corrects
this problem, but not always.
