Hi there, it seems that I'm having the same problem.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 64-Bit and Evolution 2.30.3. When I'm deleting a calendar from Evolution (ICS format), all files in the folder containing the ICS file (but not sub folders) will be deleted. If there are no sub folders, empty folder will be deleted, too (deleted files and folders are not in the trash).
