Setting time through clock applet is confusing
Public bug reported:
When I manually enter the proxy details in the settings applet (e.g. the
http proxy address and port) the standard environment variabled (n
this case http_proxy) are set automatically which programs like wget
and instsaller packages like flashplayer_nonfree need. But when I

When I select firefox as the default browser in Edgy, after a restart
(sometimes even through the session) when I go into the applet again
firefox isnt selected anymore but custom is selected and
/usr/lib/firefox/firefox %s is in the command line. This works as well

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Since totem is more of a video player and rhythmbox more of an audio
player, IMHO it's better to associate audio files with rhythmbox. But
this doesn't work, if I try to open an audio file with rhythmbox it
opens but the file isn't opened. When

I have this problem too (in both xine and gstreamer-based apps), no
video and no visualisations with audio, but I've a radeon 9000 video

Totem shows only black video output
It's common e.g. in KDE that the session is saved on logout (you can't
switch it off at all). Usually there are no apps open when you logout,
and it's IMHO a very intuitive thing that the apps that were open at
logout are present at login again.
There's another thing (which is a little bit more
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-session
When I logout or shutdown Edgy the current session isnt saved by default. This
is IMHO wrong because apps like gaim depend on the session manager instead of
an autostart like in windows.
So the current session should be saved on logout.
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-session
Theres an option to ask the user whether he wants to save the current session
on logout. Even if its selected theres no such option.
Since most users dont know nothing about session management I suggest to turn
it on by default, since (as
Since the bug destroyed the filesystem on the attached drive, I don´t
want to plug it in anymore. I saw another bug reports about this here,
I´ll search and post a link.

Public bug reported:
I already reported this bug # 68744
But instead of only mounting it multiple times ubuntu edgy has also destroyed
the FAT32 filesystem on it, so that all my data are lost.
It started to mount the drive over and over again, then I shutdown ubuntu which
resulted in I/O buffer

I´ve an USB HArddrive which works fine in Ubuntu Edgy when it´s first attached
to the Computer. But when I remove it (no matter whether via eject or not)
and re-attach it it´s displayed up to for times on my desktop (Stuff

I can of course give
Public bug reported:
Currently if you change the proxy settings in ubuntu it only affects gnome
programs.
It should also alter the standard environment variables so that programs which
dont make use of the gnome framework like wget also use this settings.
Since this is a system-wide setting
