Public bug reported:
Affects: gaim (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
For the past month or two, Gaim on Dapper has never been able to start.
This is the last bit of the debug output (from running gaim -d):
prefs: Finished read
Removing my .gaim directory allows Gaim to start (obviously this isn't a
long-term solution: I need my buddies, history, etc.).
On a clean profile, Gaim doesn't create a pounces.xml, so perhaps that's not
where it's failing.
This is the backtrace from the core file:

Has something changed to fix this in Breezy, or was that just a ping?

No. That's a useful feature, but it doesn't address the problems I raised:
If Firefox (and presumably also Thunderbird) regard the Cybertrust root as
trusted, then I think Evolution should also trust it (or at least investigate
trusting it).
