After much googling I found that the only fix was to upgrade to lubuntu
16.04. I did that and the problem went away.

I fixed this by upgrading to Lubuntu 16.04.

I've got the same problem: I'm running Lubuntu 14.04 32bit (this is a
very old pc) and Evolution 3.10.04. When I try to set up my email using
EWS, I get repeated password prompts. Has anyone managed to get this
working using Lubuntu?

I also have this annoying "Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V" problem. Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
Installing Parcellite helped, but I still need to clear it's history and
re-boot from time-to-time.
