Surprisingly, the it does not happen now. I don't what made it vanish,
but even after three or four reboots I cannot recreate it. I think this
report can be ignored now. Thanks.

Pedro, could you please tell me exactly how to check /var/crash. I
enabled Apport using ubuntu-bug gnome-media. It was ready to file a
report (just as it did when I reported the original bug), I performed
the things that causes the bluetooth indicator to vanish, and when I
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-media
Steps to reproduce bug (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS)
1. Click on volume indicator and choose sound preferences
2. In the Sound Effects tab, choose No Sounds (instead of Ubuntu) for
the Sound Theme option.
Bluetooth indicator in the panel disappears.

This bug certainly exists for me, even after doing two fresh installs of
Jaunty. (Check bug #369886)
Is there a temporary workaround for this. I don't really use Brasero, so
can I remove it or something, to get the CDs working as they used to?

Thanks, luk1don. That worked. I needed to reboot the computer, though.
Deang Bo, thanks to you, too, but I saw your post a little late. It
seems simpler just to deactivate the app., rather than remove it
completely.
