This bug only occurs with USB keyboard. my ps2 keyboard does not
suffer from this issue.
The exact problem is that the usb keyboards's numlock state cannot be
changed via usb keyboard. ps2 keyboard can enable usb keyboard numlock
mode.

Oh, good grief! I'm sorry to waste your time. I had forgotten that I
had done a local install to correct an issue I was having with the
places menu. I thought I had done a checkinstall, but either I did and
it didn't remove the local binary, or I didn't do a checkinstall.

I have the same problem with a Lenovo Ideapad Y530.
Looking at ACPI, /etc/acpi/events/video_brightnessup and
/etc/acpi/events/video_brightnessdown are matched, and the appropriate
scripts are called. Even replacing these scripts with exit you have

Additionally, one of my mousebuttons sends a keystroke (for search) and

I have an ipod video 60gb with the same problem. Artwork in the folder
titled cover.png. Rhythmbox loads it fine when playing the track but
doesn't transfer the art to the ipod unless I'm actually playing the
song in rhythmbox as I transfer; and even then it only transfers art for
that song on the

I have the 1.0GB version of this device. It actually has 2 partitions
on it, one is a 5MB CDFS partition, the second is 973MB FAT. (According
to Win XP). So looks like everything is working exactly as it should.
