On all GTK tooltips, if the mouse goes to a place on the widget in a
single movement, the tooltip won't show until it is moved again.
This is very noticable when trying to view XKCD's alt-text on Chrome

I upgraded to Maverick, to see a big red band on top of some of my
folders saying that they are not synchronized with Ubuntu One. They look
alarming, and take up a lot of rare vertical space. I tried clicking on
them, but they give no hin
Changing back to "confirmed" because closing was due to
misunderstanding.

I'm not using lucid, but I'm not even sure that Bernhard is talking
about the same bug as most of us. The problem is about applets not
loading, not about the weather applet not updating.
Anyway, since this bug comes and goes, and nobody knows what's causing
it, closing it because of one report tha

I can say by personal experience that It has not been fixed in Karmic.
Since it isn't clear what causes this problem, the fact that it doesn't
reveal itself for someone on Lucid doesn't necessarily mean that it was
fixed.

it consistent.
Can you suggest a way to debug why the applets don't load?

now the windows don't show.

I just upgraded to karmic. Every time I log in (which happens without a
login screen, automatically to my user), I get a bunch of message
windows saying that applets don't load. They say "The panel encountered
a problem while loading "
