The closed-source video driver is for ATI. I have a relatively new Dell computer, so I think the ATI card is a recent one, and the current driver is used (not the legacy one). I've tried to copy and paste the version number, but i cannot paste it into this Firefox window. -- Top and Bottom Screen

A couple of additional problems: Trying to add Workplace Switcher Applet to the bottom panel does nothing -- no applet is displayed there. The only way to close an application is using File > Quit, again because the window borders or frames are missing around applications. If an application does
