Hi, thanks for helping me out. Killing evolution-data-server did not
help. I tried to test ekiga from the Desktop CD and it worked perfectly!
So I decided to reinstall Gutsy and now everything seems to be ok. I
wonder what caused this disorder. I don't understand why it happened as
I didn't install

Hmmm... looks like it works, but it takes about 5-10 minutes to launch.
I have a fairly recent laptop (AMD Turion64 X2) so it's not a
performance problem. Anyway, ekiga shouldn't take that long to launch,
right?

I tried to install ekiga with the packages from their web site (feisty though):

Same thing... problem might not be directly ekiga but still, I don't
understand why it refuses to be launched.
