I modify it with inkscape, but after closing inkscape the thumbnail
still shows the svg as it was before being modified.

Doesn't work for me, I have ghtumb 3:2.10.11-0ubuntu1 installed and at
connecting the camera, the gthumb import dialog tells me the device is
locked, i.e. is the SD storage is mounted.

When connecting my camera, the camera card is mount TWICE, i.e. I get
two camera icons in drivemount applet, and gthumb --import cannot use
the device because it's already locked, I suppose because it's mounted

The real problem is that a file with unknown extension remains in the
download window when downloading finishes, and the user can't do
anything with it.
I expect that the download window gives me the possibility (via right
click contestual menu) to go to the download
