The bug seems gone in 11.04, but I have changed the graphic driver from NOUVEAU to the NVidia blob. I think I didn't change the default driver after installing 10.04 I will download 11.10 alpha and try the live cd (I cannot do a full install because it would cause an huge disruption) Paolo On
