Argh. The rule change didn't seem to make a difference, but I think that
the Ipod had somehow become corrupt. I reset/reformated the Ipod using
iTunes on a windows machine and now (most) everything seems to work. At
least everything that I have tried.

Attached please find two files, "karmic.txt" and "jaunty.txt".
"karmic.txt" contains the output you requests for the Ipod and machine
in question. "jaunty.txt" contains the output from the command with the
same Ipod on a different machine running Jaunty (Linux gatekeeper

I am observing this problem as well. Gnome-screensaver does not stop
after mouse jiggles from either the builtin touchpad or an attached USB
mouse. Both internal and external keyboard activity still stops the
screensaver.
