Hi,
I'm running focal (20.04.1 LTS) -- and hit this only just now when
upgrading to the new LTS.
So this is to confirm this affects the LTS release and I'd like to ask
for it back-ported. :)
Thanks,

Thank you for your answer Pedro Villavicencio.
This also happens on the latest updated Gutsy. Some videos are buffering
every 10 seconds.
I took this testvideo:

It buffers every 9 seconds with the default setting

As gnome-dictionary is not easy with its setup, in my opinion it
should be set up to use a dictionary of the language that the user has

Seen on Ubuntu Gutsy.

Thank you for the fast answer. I know bug 70377 but i thought it has
nothing to do with upstream because having a specific default dictionary
according to the language is another thing than the way how to
Now, a few months have gone and there is still no reaction. Is this due
to other problems that are more important?

Thank you for your answer.
I am using standard totem-gstreamer. No matter what connection speed i

totem isn't buffering correctly
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: totem
If i want to play a movie in firefox, that needs codecs (e. g.
http://www.tony-jaa.org/download/ongbak_usfinal_trailer.mov), totem does
not automatically download the concerning codec or even give me a hint
that something is not working.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: totem
If i want to play a video that needs gstreamer-0.10-pitfdll (like
http://www.tony-jaa.org/download/ongbak_usfinal_trailer.mov ) it does
not work because the codec isn't downloaded and installed automatically.
The terminal says:

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: totem
Playing a video directly from the web often leads to the fact that it
has to buffer every 2 seconds. The bandwith is not the problem.

That's right, installing the msttcorefonts package solves this.
But shouldn't evince give me a hint that i has to do so? Or shouldn't evince
automatically download these if i open a PDF that need these fonts? (like in
rhythmbox with MP3 codecs)
