Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
If a line has a tab character in the last column, gnome-terminal does
not display the tab.
To reproduce:

(Assuming that your terminal width is 80 characters.)
Expected behavior:

I might be having the same problem. While playback of mp3 and ogg files
works fine, enabling the crossfader (and restarting rhythmbox) increases
rhythmbox's CPU usage from single digits to about 20 or 30%. This is
more pronounced for certain audio files than for others--though I

I can confirm this bug. I am using hardy (updated from gutsy) with

Binary package hint: gnome-panel
The Run Application dialog (Alt-F2) does not include all installed
applications in the list of known applications. For instance, gvim is
missing.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Make sure that gvim is installed (it's in the vim-full package).
2.
I haven't tested Zealot's fix yet, but it looks promising.

The function get_all_applications (gnome-panel/panel-run-dialog.c:817)

weird, the hibernate action is supposed to not be listed on gutsy
I was going to report that as a bug. Do you know why this option is not listed?
Any pointers?

Isn't this a PAM bug?

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Rhythmbox does not use the http_proxy environment variable to find out
which proxy to use (to play internet radio, for example). Instead it
tries to establish a direct connection and, since that fails, freezes.

Could somebody change the status of this bug in Nautilus (as opposed
to nautilus (Ubuntu)), please? I can't do it myself, and I am not
completely sure what the status should be: It is fixed in the current
release (feisty), but unfixed (and confirmed) for dapper, which is still
supported.

I can confirm that setting the proxy settings with
gnome-network-preferences works.
There is still the issue with the freeze, though. If rhythmbox cannot
connect to an Internet radio station, it should fail gracefully.
Should I file this as another bug or will you re-open this one?

presumably it checks the mime type, but still refuses to open the 'mis-

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome
Normally, GNOME should support the entry of Unicode characters by
holding down the Ctrl and Shift keys and entering the character's
codepoint number. This worked under dapper. Under feisty, it no longer
works for me.
** Affects: meta-gnome2
Is this fixed in gutsy? I am still seeing this problem in feisty, so the
fix committed status might be wrong.

The package hint is most probably wrong. I entered gnome, not knowing
which gnome package causes the problem. Launchpad turned this into
meta-gnome2. I do not know why. (A Launchpad bug, perhaps?) I do not
have a package named meta-gnome2 installed on my system. Or a package
called gnome2.
