Evolution defaults on caldav prevent connection to Yahoo calendar

Evolution defaults to caldav:// as the prefix to all caldav calendars
and does not allow overriding the value. (Entry is replaced after saving
and applying). Yahoo calendar requires
https://caldav.calendar.yahoo.com, which Evolution ignores and overlays
with caldav://caldav.ca
Sorry that this has taken so long for me to post more information.
Not sure what changed in Evolution (by me or auto updates) or in GMail.
I went back to the GMail help on configuration and went through every
panel to insure I had Evolution configured correctly.
The three things I changed were on
Getting same error in Evolution 2.28.1 under Ubuntu 9.10 fully updated
when attempting to send email via imap (gmail). When attempting to send
via pop (xanadoo) get same error message.
